"Concerning Baptism, our churches teach that Baptism is necessary for salvation and that God's grace is offered through Baptism." (AC IX)

As Lutherans, we affirm that God can save apart from Baptism.

But the opposite is true, also. God can, and does save in Baptism.

God commands us to Baptize and to be Baptized. So we do it, and know that He is present in it.

Great work, Fr. Fisk! On sprinkling versus immersion you might have also mentioned Ezekiel 36:25 "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you."
